RPR

Dr. Perry Killam, who is leading the clinical implementation of ZEPRS in Lusaka, has this to say about the value of the RPR lab:

RPR is supposed to be given to every pregnant mom - it’s actually one of the most cost effective interventions in obstetrics. Looking at the monthly summaries though, it’s often times not equal to the new prenatal clients (but ideally should be). Some of it has been that the test was not entered, but more likely it’s because they run out of the tests.

We're working on making RPR status more obvious to the user and make it easier for administrators to track RPR lab stocks. Requests for RPR tests are submitted from the Labs page; however, RPR results may be tracked from the RPR page. When a Lab Request is made for an RPR test, the system displays a "Missing RPR Screen" and link in the Problem List.
